The foot of this frame looks like a U rather then the swinging foot of the oval picture frames that i have seen. This wonderful piece came from a very good estate with quite a few antiques that i will be putting up on ebay in the next couple of weeks. The back of the cast iron frame is impressed with a set of numbers, but i do not see a makers mark. The bottom of the frame could have been cut down but looks to have the original gold work still intact so not sure, your guess is as good as mine. This is a wonderful Victorian cast iron frame in very usable condition making it perfect to show off a ancestor or loved one.
