VICTORIAN LACQUER BOX DESCRIPTION: Welcome to my auction for this pretty Victorian black lacquer box. Decorated on the hinged lid with a butterfly and daisy-type flowers, and has a red painted lining. It measures 7" long by 5.75" deep, 2.5" high, and weighs 425g. CONDITION: Some wear on the outside commensurate with normal use, which I don't think is too bad considering its age. There is a split on a front corner of the box (see photos) - it is still very sturdy and secure. A slight split on one of the back corners which hardly shows. A really nice box that could be used for jewellery and trinkets, or for your sewing bits and pieces. ______________________________________________________ Thank you for looking and Happy Bidding!
