It is made from the most charming floral flower Morning Glories or Hibiscus in a cotton fabric that is edged with bias tape of contrasting ivory cotton bias tape. What is most unusual about this apron is that it is very fashionable. It is made of panels of complimentary fabrics that contrast and create a unique "style" for the apron. Unlike others that I am offering that are made from flour sacks, this one is made from a length of cotton that probably came from a "Dry Goods" store, by a woman who wanted to replicate an apron that she had seen in a magazine or at a fabric store in the pattern department. She wanted to be fashionable as a homemaker, and have a bit of whimsical charm in her kitchen. This was probably done during the 30's when enamel tables were very popular. This apron is in very good vintage condition. The seamstress who made this probably admired an apron like this in a magazine or craft booklet, and took it upon herself to make it. This apron was made by a skilled seamstress. Perfect for a museum, collector or a prop. You are buying this apron as a piece of American history and kitchen textiles.
