This box sat in my mom's living room for 50-plus years, and may have belonged to her mom. I recently saw a similar one (though not in such good shape!) in an antique store that gave it a date of 1910 - but I'm not sure about that! Even at 50 yrs old, it is in great shape with good color. It is a bit rubbed in a couple of small places, and the pressed imprint on the bottom is very worn away. It does say "Made in Holland" and somthing else I can't read. The design is embossed or pressed in to the metal. The inside is a gold color with some "age spots'. It may be tin, but I don't know my metals. It is lightweight, and the hinge works fine. 5" long, 4" wide, 2 1/4" deep. Please let me know if you have questions. I take paypal, checks or money orders. I do not mail outside of the U.S.
