Pictured for bid is a very ornately designed cast iron piece, which can be used as a mail or napkin holder. There are three distinct panels, forming two separate slots, and even a full-featured cherub sits on top of the middle panel. This cherub allows the 3 1/2 pound holder to be picked up. The words IRON ART appear on the bottom, and it's signed JM 111. I'm not sure of its vintage, but I've seen other items made by this group, and they appear to be made in the 1940s. Dimensions are 7 3/4" x 5" x 5" , and the panels are attached to the base with screws.I've had this sitting on my dining room table for a couple of years now, and it's done a nice job of holding large quantities of napkins, as well as mail.
