This vintage waxed linen sewing thread has been in the sewing box of a 97-year-old-lady for many decades. The card on which the thread is wound states "BARBOUR'S LISBURN N IRELAND Barbour's have been making Linen Threads since 1784 They specialise in Linen Threads for Hand & Machine Sewing LINEN WAX THREADS" It is in very good condition for something so old, just a small tear to one side of the card as shown in the photo On 06-Jul-08 at 11:03:27 AEST, seller added the following information: I obtain proof of postage but I cannot be held responsible for anything lost in the post I recommend that you pay the extra $2.70 for Registered Post which insures you for up to $100
