Description

This item is not coin operated, but was designed for counter top use.  The Whirlit was manufactured by an unknown St. Louis company. There is no zone on the address label, so the best guess is it was produced in the late 40's or very early 50's. The red painted base is wood, 10" in diameter and 3/4" thick.  The rest of the Whirlit is plastic. The unit is 8 1/2" tall. As seen in the photos, the dome is cracked.  It is not as bad as the tape would indicate. There is a chunk of the dome broken off that is 2" by 2 3/4".  The tape extends 10". The unit has a switch that is no longer operative located just below the manufacturers decal. .  This switch may have lit the base when in operation.  The switch on the other side of the Whirlit works.  When pressed the green felt base rotates throwing the dice against the felt strip around the circumference of the dome.  There are four spots that jut out from the circumference causing the die to bounce as if thrown. The unit contains five die. Buyer pays priority postage for eight pounds packed from zip 63135.  Use the caculator for a ball park figure.  You will be invoiced at the end of the auction for priority postage including confirmation and insurance.  Thanks for looking.
