SID This is an auction for one piece of original artwork from Viz Comic. This strip is of SID THE SEXIST. It was published in Viz issue 22. The artist(s) credited here are: "Shiloe / Biz / KH ’87." According to information I have, this was drawn by Simon Donald himself, as he drew Sid The Sexist until he left the comic in 2003. I emailed Viz in December 2007 and received a reply from a Viz staff member, Stevie Glover, who confirmed that this strip was published on Page 13 of issue 22 of Viz. This specific strip is the one quoted in the Wikipedia entry for Sid The Sexist so I would suggest that being quoted as a prime example of Sid The Sexist’s brand of sexism on such a well-known website makes this a particularly desirable item. Dimensions: Approx 12 inches by 9 inches. The item being placed next to a UK tabloid newspaper should also give you a very good idea of the dimensions. It was bought in a charity auction in the early 1990s. The only other information I can think of is that the strip was framed in a plastic box frame with wood and board backing after purchase. The frame is included in the sale and this is not negotiable, part of the reason I won’t sell unframed is to ensure good, safe damage-free transit. Please check out my other auctions.
