Vintage Compact - Deco Octagon Chained Vanity - Unmarked Brilliant Silvertone Octagon Double Vanity...The Engine Turned Linear Lid is centered with a Triangle encasing a Chased Flower Basket teeming with flowers. The edging of the lid also has a Chased Floral design. A tiny rectangular, unmonogrammed cartouche is directly above the hinge. This vanity measures 2" x 2" at its widest points ( 7 1/4" with chain fully extended). The framing for the Lunette mirror and rouge is present. There is no mirror, rouge or applicator. The powder well is a Rotating Sifter type mechanism. There is no powder or puff. The open single link chain measures 5 1/4" in length. All links are present and secure. The hinge and ball closure are in fine order. The base of the vanity is an Engine Turned Radiating Ray motif. The lid and base are in excellent condition with little wear. They are a bright silvertone...please excuse the shading in the photo...unable to capture brightness properly. Elegant Deco Design...Desirable Vintage Collectible!
