This is a cute vintage hand embroidered overtowel. It features a kitchen scene with a brick fireplace, cooking pot, and blue dishes that may represent Delft designs. The towel has the words "Mun keuken is mun trots" in Dutch. They roughly translate to "my kitchen is my pride" or "I am proud of my kitchen."The embroidery is very nicely done on white cotton fabric. The towel measures 22" by 33" and is in fair to good condition. There are several yellowish discolorations. The worse one is on a lower corner and is shown in a photo below. Otherwise there are no holes, worn areas or damage. The embroidery is intact; the areas on two of the letters that look missing are actually part of the design. The embroidery thread is nicely tied off on the back at the beginning and end of those "gaps." The towel has been freshly laundered and lightly ironed, so is ready for use.
