Not sure on the year? This is a three cell d battery flashlight. It has a hard plastic or rubber protector around the buld end. Is in very nice shape inside and out. Has some old age look on it no cracks, rust or rot.The small end has if you look close enough minor dent. Hard to see unless you are looking for it.Seems to work fine... Thanks Jim
