You are bidding on a Vintage Fairmount Tool Co 1 5/8" Open End Railroad Wrench 1 5/8", open end, 4 lbs lbs. 15" long Cleaned and repainted flat black. The wrench was recently obtained from an estate sale, shows lightly used, the exact age is unknown. I believe this is an early Fairmount Tool Company open end wrench. I’m not sure what application the wrench is made for, maybe Railroad, Heavy equipment, or other large applications. The Wrench is stamped on one side of the open end, Fairmount Made in USA, the other side is stamped 1 5/8, there is also a #10 on the handle. The wrench is approx. 15" long, the handle is 9/16" thick, and 1 3/4" wide near head and tapers down to 1 1/4" wide at end. The head is 7/8" thick, and 3 3/4" wide. The wrench weighs approx. 4 lbs. The wrench has been cleaned and repainted flat black and is in good condition. As with the vintage of the wrench, there is some light normal wear, and a few dents and dings, all as noted from the photos. The wrench would greatly enhance any collection or use as a working tool.
