The bottom is made up of 3 sections of milkglass hobnail. It all comes apart so you can build it anyway you like. I'm not sure what the scales are made of, they look like they might be brass. I did not clean them because I wanted the new owner to decide what to do with them. Some people like to leave them in their original state.This came from an old estate and I am not sure how old it is.It stands 16 inches tall and the arms are 12 1/4 inches across. The scale plates are 6 1/8 inches in diameter.In great shape, no chips or cracks in the glass.
