This auction is for a vintage National Cash Register Phone used for credit verification. The piece is marked National on the back and is 9" deep x 11" tall and 6" across at base. It is made of cast iron and heavy steel. There are 3 areas around the base for securing the machine to a counter. The tray (as seen Pic 1) is stuck or possible make to stay open. There is an ID plate on the front of the machine it is T-495-21. The hand-set has the old style cord and is possibly made of bakelite. There is a 1" chip missing from the mouth-piece on the backside (not visible from the front of machine). There are 4 push buttons, for calling. The plates over the tape holder area have discolored with age and have a few scratches. We do not know if this is in working order and have no real knowledge of this type of machine / equipment so therefore, it is being sold AS-IS. It is very unique and would make a wonderful addition to a vintage / antique business equipment collection. Could use a good cleaning. Shipping will be calculated; insurance is optional.
