This fellow has a pink nose. He looks to be hand painted with no chips or flea bites or crazing. A similar skunk is pictured on page 135 of Collector's Encyclopedia Of California Pottery Second Edition By Jack Chipman where he tells us that many of Maxine's figurines were unmarked as is this one. In photo #2 I have shown another skunk for size comparison and he is 1 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches long and is offered in another auction. This darling figurine has no chips, flea bites or crazing. It would be impossible to wrap, box, and weigh every item before they have been bid on. I almost never have 2 items the same, every item is different and weighs out different. Every box weighs different except for the Post Office boxes. I always try to give my customers several options, so you can choose the method of shipping. I am always happy to combine auctions won to save on the shipping cost. I will try to answer all questions about the shipping cost as soon as possible. Just ask. I have the Post Office print the shipping cost on the label so you can see the shipping cost is for what was invoiced. I charge the ACTUAL SHIPPING COST plus $1.00 for each auction won. I am happy to combine shipping on items that are safe to ship together. I hope this explains why there is no shipping calculator on my auctions. I do my absolute best to describe items accurately. But, I am not an expert on anything. Please do not bid unless you really want thisd item and can pay for it. I have learned from my mistakes and I will re-list an item and absolutely leave negative feedback for deadbeat bidders. I do not accept returns unless I have grossly misrepresented the item and in that case item must be returned in 7 days in the exact condition I mailed it out. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the Shipping Cost as that is already an out of pocket expense for us. For those of you who don't know in the early 70's my mother and I had an antique shop in Pomona Calif. We were forced to close the shop in 1984 when my father passed away and move out to my mothers property. After all these years of moving hundreds of barrels and boxes around we decided to start selling on ebay. I am trying to consolidate possessions my mother had been collecting all of her life. We are in the process of clearing out many of her storage buildings and garages on her 3 acres. All these items have been packed and not looked at for over 35 years.
