Description

VINTAGE STORZ SERVING TRAY This is a very old serving tray! I have search on the net for information about this item, and have not seen any.I think it is from the 1940s. It is made of a heavy metal and has to original paint on the outside. The inside has been painted silver. The outside is a cream color, with red print. The measurements of this tray is about: 13 inches wide1 3/4 inches tall. It is a bit dinged and scratched and a few light rusty spots. When we got it, it was holding some nuts and bolts!I washed it up a bit, but sure it still could use a good cleaning. The Storz Brewery was established by Gottlieb Storz in 1876 and was owned by the Storz family until 1966, when it was sold to an Iowa investment company. The brewery ceased operation in 1972. By the way, during Prohibition the Storz Brewery manufactured ice and non-alcoholic beverages, with "near beer" as its best-selling product. Trade Names for the brewery in 1807/1819 North 16th Street, Omaha, NE: Ebenezer Dallow 1863-1865 Joseph Baumann 1865-1876 Mrs. W. Baumann (Grace &.16th Sts.) 1876-1884 Gottlieb Storz & Joseph D.
