Good gauge silver, a neat little hinged-lid box made to look like a miniature leather-bound book with ribbed spine and plain ‘covers’. Contemporaneous monogram on the lid reads: E.F. Jr. This is one of two little vintage sterling boxes I have for sale, the other is by Napier. Please see my other listings. Marks: Stamped into the silver on the ‘spine’ TIFFANY & CO above and STERLING below. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Condition: Excellent. Typical light marks of vintage sterling, Clasp opens & closes with a satisfactory ‘click’, no looseness. Clean and shiny, nice patina and with no gouges or heavy scratches. Absolutely no splits, dents, corrosion, losses or repairs. Size: Box is 1.8 x 1.5 x 0.4 inches (46 x 29 x 12 mm). Will fit matches up to 1.6 inches (40mm) long. It weighs a respectable 1.35 Troy oz (42 grams). Packing & Shipping: I pack all my items with the utmost care and in a way which, if I was the buyer, I would want to receive them myself.
