HTML clipboardHTML clipboard Vintage Vera Neumann 63" Window Drapes This auction is for a set vintage Vera Neumann red, white & blue window treatments. The red, white & blue can be a great nautical or patriotic theme. Perfect for your boathouse or beach house. She was a very famous mid-century artist & textile designer, and her items are highly collectible. Set of drapes measures 63" x 40". In mint condition, they've never been used. Original folds. Machine washable or can be dry cleaned. Nice weight to the fabric. Not sure the fabric - a type of permanent press with a built-in heavy liner; hard to describe. My mom purchased these for a non-existent beach house! See my other auctions for more nautical related items that were never used - placemats, tablecloths and napkins. Vera Neumann (1910 - 1993), originator of the graphic OP ART scarf and other kitchen textiles, started around the 1960's, and her products expanded through the years into the 1990's. The VERA logo was her own signature and grew in size over the years. Later during her middle design years, the logo adopted a ladybug. Finally the Vera ladybug was eliminated and the logo signature became smaller again. VERA (C) can be found on tags or at the bottom corner, or even in the design of the fabric. One of her favorite designs was the butterfly. You can find it in many of her wild and colorful graphics. She also designed purses, kitchen items and linens, with a small even pattern all over her fabrics.
