This item is handy for relaxing in bed with breakfast or coffee, or for writing, holding a book, or even a laptop. The surface of the tray is glass, which is set-in like a picture frame so it is nice and stable and does not move around. On each side of the tray there is a pocket for your pens, cellphone, paperback, manicure stuff.....the possibilities are endless. How convenient! This is a great item for sitting on the couch with your legs stretched out, too - it doesn't have to stay in the bedroom. You can use this tray on the end of the guest bed, with a beautiful cup and saucer and a book. How welcoming! And of course, these trays are beloved by kids home sick from school, who think it's tremendous fun to have a bowl of soup for lunch on a tray like this - and they're right! The tray measures 13 x 27" and stands about 10" high to the top of the handles. The wicker and paint are in very fine condition, except for one break in one of the thin "scallops" that decorate the edges. You can see this in the picture in the upper right corner of the tray. The fabric in the center is under the glass. The glass can easily be loosened and lifted if you want to change the fabric. The fabric strip in each side pocket is just set-in to the space. The length of this tray makes it over size for shipping, so it will cost a bit. I'll use fedex ground if they have the better price. I'm only an email away so please ask questions before bidding.
