It is a wood finsihed box with removable brass clasp to keep it shut. ,a handle and could easily be used for a fashionable purse.t as such. Could be a sewing box.. Measures about, 6 by 6 by 10". It is a vintage item so it does have some wear and tear to the finish, but all in all very good to Excellent condition.
