Circa 1950 Mini Juke Box. It's a Coin Bank and Music Box! This item is a vintage wind-up music box/coin bank made by the Ideal toy co. The housing appears to be made of bakelite, but I am not certain of this. Threre is a metal pull-down coin slot on the front. The winding key for the music box and the bank stoper are on the back. The mechanical part of the music box still works, but the music is very soft, and it sounds to me like many notes are not played. There are quite a few surface scratches and the removable back is bowed (see photo). Approximate dimensions: 4" x 2.25" x 6".
