H1 {color:#00c0c0} For your consideration we are offering a beautiful hand painted covered Dish made in Japan in 1952. The artist signed the bottom of the plate but I am not sure if it reads "Jay Scott" or "Joy Scott" The edges of the plate and the knob on the lid are trimmed in gold. I am not sure if this is a butter dish, trinket box or vanity item..I guess it is whatever you want to use it for. I personally purchased this many years ago as a decorative piece just because I admired the colors in the floral pattern.I believe this is bone china as the underside of the lid has a slightly porous feel to it. In lovely condition with one teeny tiny chip on the edge of the lid which can be spotted in the last photograph I have provided. No cracks or crazing!! Plate measures 6" in diameter and the entire dish is 2.5" tall Please make sure your payment reaches us within 10 days of auction's end.
