This is an early W. Butcher heavy Timber Framing Wood Chisel in good usable condition. W. Butcher was known for making the finest hard steel chisels in the 1800s. This heavy, thick wood chisel is 10-1/2 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 3/8 inch thick. It has obvious signs of age and use, with typical hammering damage to the steel banded hammering handle. The blade edge is very sharp and ready to use, as It came from an Amish working carpenter shop in Pennsylvania, used for framing house beams. No Reserve because I originally got it for a fair price and want this chisel to go to a real carpenter, framer, or woodworker who will put it to good use. Bid the low starting bid at less than $5.00 and it sells! Payment is due within 10 days of closing for bid price plus $6.20 shipping with no handling fee. Payment via PayPal, money order, or bank check. I'll take a personal check if you have over 25 feedbacks, but will wait 7 business days for the check to clear before shipping.
