The first series of collector plates, featuring scenes and landmarks in and around London, ran from 1969 to 1989. This newer series of Christmas collectables, which ran from 1990 to 1999, includes teacup & saucer sets and bells, in addition to the plates. Each year the pieces feature a different Victorian Christmas tradition depicted in a highly detailed, hand-applied white bas-relief ornament.The 1997 Victorian Traditions Christmas bell features a beautiful white bas-relief scene of a little girl hanging up her stocking while her sister dances with excitement on one side of the bell and the year on the other side. This extremely rare Christmas Bell is being offered for sale on behalf of the original owner, a life-long collector. It is in mint condition with no chips or cracks or scratches, and no signs of repair, and comes in its original labelled box.The matching plate, and the teacup & saucer set, are also available and are listed separately.All pictures are of the actual item for sale.
