ID-65-A Aircraft DF Indicator Here is a nice cockpit mount airplane radio direction finder instrument meter. These were used in the very late 1930s and in World War 2. The pilot would make sure the needle of the meter was pointing up, towards the little picture of the aircraft - this meant he was riding the beam just fine and on course. Any swings to the right or left meant he was going off course, and should be corrected. Very important when on a B-17 bomber run. Very nice condition. New in the box!
