Description

This is a lot of 48 vintage postcards of The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society buildings. Only a few are written on, two have messages and only one was actually sent through the mail. Here is a brief description of the ones I have taken pictures of: In the first photo starting clockwise from the top left is the Toronto Bethel; next is an aerial view of lower Manhattan and a section of Brooklyn, showing several groups of buildings of The Watchtower society's facilities; (Take special note of this next card) Watchtower magazine publishing plant ( this is the very first building at Wallkill, certainly small in comparison to what is there today) Next the Wiesbaden Bethel home in Germany; next Another aerial view of several Watchtower buildings (NOTE: This card has a view of the construction of the World Trade Center, which is what is shown in the third picture I have included.  The next set of pictures in the second group are clockwise from the upper left: The London Bethel Home on Mill Hill. This is the one that went through the Mail and it has a 4 cent stamp on it that depicts Charles Evans Hughes. This card is dated in the writers hand 7-8-63.; Next, The Jehovah's Witness Assembly Hall Centrally located in New York City. (Note the old cars!) Next, The branch in Aragua, Venezuela. This was has a message on it but was never sent through the mail; Next, Brooklyn Bethel in Brooklyn Heights. In the description it mentions that the work is being done through 92 branch offices in 194 lands ( That's sure outdated information that helps to date these cards!) There are many other great cards that would take too long to describe, I've just picked some highlights. THESE ARE MOSTLY ALL IN LIKE NEW CONDITION WITH VERY LITTLE WEAR.  Be sure and check out my other postcard auctions.
