The Riefler Beam Compass was used by drafters for drawing large circles by attaching the parts to a wooden beam. It was from a higher quality range of drafting tools offered by Weber from as early as 1905 and listed in catalogs thru 1931. The catalog page shown is from the 1931 catalog. The set comes in its original hard backed leather locking case. The case and the parts are marked Germany. Inside the case is a tag showing F. Weber Co./Philadelphia, PA. The case measures 7" x 3" x 1"
