Description: Original rare first 202 D1 model Western Electric deskset phone telephone base only. It does NOT have the base cover, handset plunger, plunger bushings nor contacts - see picture! Perfect for restoring that vintage 202 D1 phone. Markings: D1 WESTERN ELECTRIC MADE IN USA PATENT 1508424 PAT PEND stamped on back of neck and around base rim on back. 7-40 1040 stamped in green ink and IE TT stamped in red inside of base. Condition: The part is a nice original with fair original paint that is worn in places. Needs repainted! NO dents and NO dings. Perfect candidate for a new powdercoating.
