"And Harm Ye None".These Witches' Runes are described by Patricia Crowther in her book "Lid off the Cauldron." There are only eight of them, and the symbols are deceptively simple. Each pictogram looks very much like the earliest forms of writing, used by hunter-gatherer tribes thousands of years ago. These runes are meant to be cast much like casting stones or bones and are an ancient form of divination. Witches' Runes are made with natural oak branches with the bark still on them. Each rune is wood burned into the wood NOT stamped. Only natural stain (linseed oil) is used to cure the runes, no varnish or unnatural substances have been used. The branches are tempered by the elements of fire, water, earth, air, and time. Each set of 8 Witches Runes comes with instructions and are approximately 3/4" in diameter, though the size will vary as they are made from oak.See my other auctions for more great items!
