Included in the collection are early whale oil lamps, bar bottles, early patterned flint glass and some early stoneware and ceramics. Being offered in this sale is a very nice figural stem kerosene oil lamps that I would date circa 1870. It is one of the nicer figure lamps that I have had to offer in some time. It measures 12 1/2" tall to the top of the collar and is 5" square at the base. The font is mold blown glass. The molded figural stem is spelter while the base is iron. The underside of the base is marked in two places PATENT APLd FOR. It is being sold with a brass VENUS No 2 burner that is marked on the turn knob THE MILLER CO. USA. The condition is very good to excellent. The font is free of any damage and has no interior staining. The figural stem is untouched. The base has some wear to the paint but otherwise has no dents.
