Vintage Hawaiian pre-ban carved ivory necklace. I purchased this at an antique store in North Carolina but have yet to wear it, so it's now up for grabs as it's not doing any good in a drawer. I am assuming it's Ming's since it looks exactly like every other Ming's ivory pikake necklace I've seen before, but there is no stamp and no way for me to say for certain. In outstanding condition and the screw clasp works perfectly and fits tightly. Nice patina although there is a bit of dirt that could easily be cleaned off of it - but I'm leaving it as-is and will let the winning bidder decide if they want to work on it as I'm no ivory expert. The only flaw, if you want to call it that, is a bit of pinkish staining to a couple of the beads. No idea where it came from (old makeup perhaps?) and you have to look fairly closely to notice it, but I wanted to mention it. Otherwise no flaws I can find and no chips, etc. Unscrewed, measures just over 16" long and weighs 1.7 ounces.Please take the time to read the description about the item and/or please ask questions before bidding.
