This is a lovely old porcelain bowl from Germany which has been in my husband's family at least 80 years. There is a small chip on the outside edge of the rim. On the bottom, it has what appears to be tiny cracks under the glaze. I tried to photograph, but is very hard to see and didn't show up any better in the photos. In my unprofessional opinion, I think they must have been flaws in the making. They certainly don't distract from the usefulness nor attractiveness of this nice old bowl. It measurement 9-1/8" across. We have moved, and down-sizing has necessitated letting go of a lot of our collectibles. I hope the new owner will enjoy this bowl as much as I have over the years.
